About NDT

Neilston Development Trust (NDT) was established in 2006 by the Neilston community to champion, facilitate, support and drive the regeneration of Neilston. It was incorporated as a successor organisation to Neilston: Space to Live.

Since its inception NDT has become recognised as one of Scotland's leading community development trusts. We have achievements in the fields of placemaking, cultural programming, assets management, volunteering and carbon reduction. We have adopted a community-led approach to sustainable regeneration that builds from the village's assets and places people at the centre of our decision making.

Our overall aim is to develop the physical, economic, cultural and human assets of Neilston.

Our strategic priorities can be grouped into three main areas:

Place IconPlace

A quality, safe, sustainable and accessible environment that supports community life.

People IconPeople

A thriving, active, informed and engaged local community.

Prospects IconProspects

A robust local economy and environment providing sound prospects for the future.

Of course, nothing is ever black or white, and most of the programmes we deliver fall into two and sometimes all 3 of our thematic areas. Look out for the Place, People and Prospects symbols on each of our project pages which lets you know all of the thematic areas that this project fits under.

For further information on our story to date, have a look at Our History page.

Information on our current and past projects can be found under our What We Do header.
